Certification and compliance
ISO 10218

Follow every ISO 10218 project phase by phase, from product to declaration

ISO:OK guides each robot or robot-cell project through seven phases, from requirements to the declaration: every step keeps a trace of requirement, risk, measure, test and approval.

Overview

How ISO:OK supports ISO 10218 product compliance

ISO 10218 cannot be certified: it is a product standard. With ISO:OK you document the compliance of your robot or cell with the Machinery Directive or with Regulation (EU) 2023/1230, applicable from 20 January 2027, using the standard as a tool. Every robot or cell is a project with its own technical file, and ISO:OK works out the applicable law from the expected placing-on-the-market date.

The path has seven phases and the programme closes them, not the user: if data is missing or something does not add up, you receive the list of reasons. For safety functions you record the required and the achieved performance level, with the calculation attached: without the attachment, or with an achieved value below the required one, the phase stays open. The same applies to the guard distances of a cell.

In verification, the person who ran a test cannot approve it, and a negative result stays on record with its non-conformity. At the end ISO:OK prepares the technical file and a draft of the declaration: the signature and the responsibility stay with the manufacturer.

What you can manage

A structured path for ISO 10218 product compliance

01

Product identification, requirements and risk assessment

02

Risk-reduction measures, safety functions and guard distances

03

Verification and validation, technical file and declaration

The result

From requirements to verifiable evidence

ISO:OK lets you close a phase only when the data is consistent, so the technical file is in order when a customer or an authority asks for it.

One platform, one source of truth

  • Seven phases with checks closed by the programme
  • Requirements, risks, measures, tests and approvals linked together
  • Dashboard with alerts on the projects to follow
  • Technical file and draft declaration in the same environment
Who it is for

Designed for companies and consultants

For robot manufacturers, robot-cell integrators and machinery-safety consultants who support them.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is there an ISO 10218 certification?

No. ISO 10218 is a product standard and cannot be certified: what you demonstrate is that the robot or cell complies with the law. ISO:OK helps you gather that demonstration and keep it in order.

Can I follow both robots and robot cells?

Yes. Each project follows the path that suits the product and your role, manufacturer or integrator; if role and product do not match, the programme flags it.

Does ISO:OK calculate the performance level?

No. The calculation is done by whoever is qualified to do it, outside the platform: ISO:OK asks for the attachment, compares the achieved value with the required one and holds the phase if it is not enough.

What do I get at the end of the path?

The project’s technical file with each item linked to its evidence, plus the draft declaration to sign: of incorporation for the robot, EC declaration of conformity for the cell.

Can consultants manage several client companies?

Yes. Consultants can work with several organisations while keeping users, roles, activities and documents separated.
